Sim Lim Square

Sim Lim Square is a paradise for those are looking for computer hardware and other electronics items. Covering 6 floors, you can find items like motherboards, graphic cards to mice and keyboards. Lower floors will get you other electronics items like cameras, camcorder and LCD.

However in order to get the best deal, it will be advisable to find out the price range of the items you are getting either from going to a few more shops or through the net. If you are looking for computer parts, the shops will usually have price list placed outside the shop which you can take for reference.

The place is also made infamous by some black sheep so do exercise caution when making the purchases. One way is to look out for the STARetailer logo. Haji Lane is found within Arab Street which is by itself a lively district that is full of Islamic history and culture. A few years ago, Haji Lane was just another strip of outdated shop houses. Now small boutiques has occupied the once quiet area.

If you are into alternative labels or unique style then the boutique here is for you. The owners of these shops either design their own label or purchase it all over the world. There are also those who provide a space for blogshop owners to showcase their wares in a physical shop. This is definitely a different shopping experience.

However what you can find here is not limited to clothing. There are also cafes and bakery. One thing to note will be the shops here usually open after 11am, therefore make sure you come at the correct timing.
